The film talks about the oppression faced by tribal community people and became the highest-rated Indian movie on IMDb. The legal drama also courted controversy as it fumed problems with the Vanniyar Sangam and the political party PMK.
Meanwhile, Kathir, the art director of Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, Jai Bhim and Valimai, has built a new wedding hall at Vanagaram near Chennai. Its opening ceremony took place yesterday. Artist Trotsky Marudu, who took part in the function, shared some interesting facts about the Jai Bhim. Marudu said that he visited Suriya's residence recently and chatted with the actor for some time.
Suriya headlined the role of senior advocate Chandru in the film. The artist shared who was the first choice for the role in the ceremony. Trotsky added, "While talking about the Jai Bhim movie, Suriya said that they initially planned to make it on a small scale with Vijay Sethupathi playing the titular role 'Chandru'. Suriya continued that he decided to do the character himself when the project got evolved bigger."
