R. Madhavan's directorial debut movie 'Rocketry : The Nambi Effect' has received critical praise and is also doing well at the box office globally. The biopic based on the life of ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan's fight to prove his innocence on sedition charges also has Suriya playing himself in an important character.

Suriya is currently abroad with his family but caught up with Madhavan on Instagram live where the two long time friends discussed the film and other aspects of their friendship. Suriya said that he is feeling guilty that he could not participate in the promotions of the film.

Madhavan shared that Suriya's biggest hits in his career 'Ghajini' directed by A.R. Murugadoss and 'Kaaka Kaaka' directed by Gautham Menon were both offered to him. He rejected them for various reasons and Suriya starred in them. Maddy stated that his buddy did a much better job in the films than what he would have delivered if he had chosen them.
