Clarified: Suriya's part in Savithri Biopic

Last week, we had reported that actor Suriya is likely to play the role of the evergreen 'Kadhal Mannan' Gemini Ganesan in 'Nadigaiyar Thligam' the biopic on veteran actress Savithri. The Telugu version of the film has been titled as 'Mahanadhi'.
Keerthy Suresh plays the titular character in the film while Samantha will be seen in an important character.
Regarding Suriya's inclusion. sources close to the actor confirmed that the talks indeed happened to rope in Suriya for this bilingual project but they did not pan out due to some reasons.
Now the makers are reportedly in search of another suitable actor to play the role of Gemini Ganesan who has acted in many films with Savithri and eventually married her and separated later.
