Actor Suriya had made a return to screens after more than an year post Thaanaa Serndha Koottam, with the Selvaraghavan directorial political entertainer NGK. Also starring Sai Pallavi, Rakul Preet Singh, Bala Singh, Ponvannan, Devaraj, the movie had music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

As NGK has entered its second week in theaters, Suriya has tweeted, thanking people who came with their views and decoding, as well as the team for the movie. His tweet read "I humbly accept all the love,views and opinions about NGK with utmost humility and thank the masterminds ;) who decoded and appreciated the different attempt, and the actors performances!! Thanks to the entire cast & crew for making this happen".

NGK stars Suriya as Nandha Gopalan Kumaran, who enters politics and transforms into a leader after adapting himself to the dirty politics. The movie opened to mixed reviews, and as per reports, the film produced by Dream Warrior pictures has grossed more than 100 crores.
