Actor Suriya, who was last seen on screen in Thaanaa Serndha Koottam released last Pongal, is all set to have his next release NGK directed by Selvaraghavan released in May, and yesterday, the audio and trailer launch event of the movie was held in Chennai, and had the presence of the team of the movie including music director Yuvan Shankar Raja and Sai Pallavi.
Speaking during the event, Suriya said "NGK is not just a political thriller. Besides politics, NGK has a lot reflecting Selva's views and artistic taste, and the movie required this time to make. Every day shooting for NGK was a new experience, and he was proving himself different with every day".
Suriya also shared a nostalgic memory he had with Selvaraghavan, as he said "We had met in a public place in 2002, and had a conversation and then I had received a call to see the cut of Kadhal Konden songs. Earlier I had never seen any such songs or scenes, and I went to an edit suite opposite Maniratnam sir's office, and I was stunned by his work that I said, I must work with you. I don't remember when I had asked like that to any other director. What I had asked in 2002 has happened in 2019. Selva is a visionary, who thinks beyond time, and I have a lot of admiration for his stories and him, and I wish to work with him again" said Suriya.
