Lokesh Kanagaraj has hit the bulls eye once again with his second movie 'Kaithi' hitting box office gold apart from garnering rave reviews. The film with Karthi as the powerful lead also has some wonderful performances from Narain, George Mariyan, Arjun Das, Dheena and Harish Uttaman.

Lokesh meanwhile is busy directing his next 'Thalapathy 64' that has Vijay, Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan, Shantanu Bhagyaraj in the ensemble cast. Now the buzz is that the maverick director will next combine with Suriya for a fantasy action-adventure titled 'Irumbukkai Maayavi'. It is said that the project will go on floors in May 2020 and official announcement is expected in the first quarter of the new year.

It is also confirmed that Karthi and Lokesh Kanagarj will join hands again for 'Kaithi 2' that will begin principal photography in 2021.
