Actor Suriya, who was last seen on screen in KV Anand’s Kaappaan, has been a producer as well besides acting in films. He had last produced the movie Jackpot in his 2D Entertainment banner, and his next big release happens to be the Sudha Kongara starrer Soorarai Pottru.
Recently it was made official that Suriya’s 2D Entertainment has bagged the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of the movie Sillukaruppatti, which is directed by Halitha Shameem who had earlier made her debut with the movie Poovarasam Peepee. This movie will be released by Suriya in association with Sakthi Film Factory.
Now it has been officially announced that Sillukaruppatti will be releasing on December 27. Sillukaruppatti stars Samuthirakani, Sunainaa, Manikandan, Nivedhithaa Sathish, Sarah and Leela Samson, and has music by Pradeep Kumar. The movie is also in the list of movies to be screened in Chennai International Film Festival.
