According to a recent buzz, Suriya is likely to team up with the iconic Bollywood filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra for a new magnum opus project. The director is widely known for his 'Rang De Basanti' and 'Bhaag Milka Bhaag', of which the former was chosen as India's official entry to the Oscar that year. Both will be joining together for the film 'Karna' with Suriya in the lead role.

Further, reports tell us that 'Karna' is touted to be made in two parts in a massive budget. The shooting is planned to kickstart in 2024. Set in the Mahabharata period, Suriya will be seen in the titular role of 'Karna'.
