Suriya’s ‘Retro’ to Feature Multiple Song Releases and a Grand Music Launch Event

The movie ‘Retro,’ directed by Karthik Subbaraj and starring Suriya, is set to release in May. The first single, “Kannadi Poove,” was recently released and received a positive response. Fans are eagerly awaiting further updates about the film.

Following ‘Jigarthanda Double X,’ Karthik Subbaraj has teamed up with Suriya for ‘Retro.’ The film features an ensemble cast, including Pooja Hegde, Jayaram, Joju George, Nassar, Prakash Raj, Nandita Das, and Sujith Shankar. Santosh Narayanan has composed the music, with Shreya’s dance performance in one of the songs.

The song “Kannadi Poove” had lyrics by Vivek and was sung by Santosh Narayanan himself. Now, preparations are underway for the release of three more songs, with one scheduled for the second week of next month as a lyric video. Additionally, the film’s music launch event is planned, possibly at Nehru Stadium, where the trailer will also be unveiled. All the songs will be performed live, and Suriya is expected to announce updates on his film ‘Vaadi Vaasal’ as well.

The second single is rumored to feature Shreya’s dance. Meanwhile, Suriya is also working on his 45th film, directed by RJ Balaji, starring Trisha, Shivatha, Swasika, Yogi Babu, and Natti Nataraj. Filming began a few months ago and is now nearing completion. Reports suggest Suriya has heard scripts from directors like Venky Atluri of ‘Vaathi’ and ‘Lucky Bhaskar’ fame.
