Kollywood's celebrated sibling duo Suriya and Karthi teamed up for the rural entertainer 'Viruman', directed by Muthaiah. Suriya and Jyothika's 2D Entertainment has produced this film which marks the acting debut of Aditi, the daughter of ace director Shankar.

This project marks Karthi's second collaboration with Muthaiah after 'Komban'. The makers revealed the release date of the movie today. 2D Entertainment announced the official release date with a new colourful poster featuring Karthi as a villager. 'Viruman' will hit the silver screens worldwide on August 31, coinciding with the Vinayagar Chathurthi festival.

The release date also falls on the birthday of the film's music director Yuvan Shankar raja. Viruman also stars Prakash Raj, Rajkiran, Soori, RK Suresh, Manoj and Vadivukkarasi. Selvakumar SK handled the cinematography while Venkat Raajen took care of the editing.
