On the eve of his 75th birthday veteran actor and orator Sivakumar achieved a remarkable feat by narrating the great Indian Epic Mahabharatham in 2 hours and 15 minutes in a women`s college in Erode.

The event was attended by Sivakumar`s family members including his sons and prominent heroes Suriya and Karthi.

Speaking at the event Suriya explained the efforts and hard work that went behind this phenomenal achievement of his father. "This is a great day for us. This is the result of two and a half years of hard work of my father. In these years he used to spend eight to ten hours every day to prepare for this discourse. This is yet another proof for the fact that age and time are not barriers to realize one`s dream. Today my father`s dream is becoming true."

Karthi on his part said "Presenting a discourse on Mahabharatham for college students is not an easy task. Father worked extremely hard for two years to achieve this. He read almost every book written on Mahabharatham. He kept engaging himself with scholars and friends to collect details. He also watched all the episodes of B.R.Chopra`s Mahabharatham serial.

Actress and Suriya`s wife Jyothika said that she was very proud to be a member of Sivakumar household and happy that her son Dev is becoming knowledgeable like his grandfather.
