We broke the news to you yesterday that top actor Suriya injured his shoulders after a freak accident on the sets of his magnum opus 'Kanguva'. It is said that the rope holding an overhead camera got severed suddenly and the heavy equipment crashed down on him. The 48 year old hardworking superstar had a narrow escape as he instinctively moved away within seconds.

After this, the shooting was stopped at the EVP Gardens on the outskirst of Chennai and Suriya was given first aid. While the stunt director Supreme Sundar has said that Suriya is not seriously injured and he is fine, Suriya himself has posted about it on his social media.

Suriya wrote on X "Dear Friends, well wishers & my AnbaanaFans Heartfelt thanks for the outpouring ‘get well soon’ msgs.. feeling much better.. always grateful for all your love". We can hear thousands of heaves of sighs of relief all round the globe.

'Kanguva' a historical fantasy adventure is directed by Siruthai Siva and jointly produced on a large scale by Studio Green and UV Creations. The Devi Sri Prasad musical has Suriya, Disha Patani, Bobby Deol, Natty Natraj, Jagapathy Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala and Yogi Babu among others in the cast.
