Instead, there are talks that either 'Vettaiyan' or 'Kanguva' might move their release up by a day, to October 9. This strategic move could allow both films to capitalize on a strong opening day at the box office.

As of now, no official statements have been made regarding these rumours. 'Vettaiyan' is a cop action drama starring Rajinikanth, produced by Lyca Productions and directed by TJ Gnanavel. Meanwhile, 'Kanguva', featuring Suriya, is a fantasy action film produced by Studio Green and directed by Siruthai Siva.
