Suriya's 'Kanguva', one of the highest budgeted Tamil films under production currently has been in shooting mode for the past several months. Most recently there were few important period portions canned in the exotic hilly terrains of Kodaikanal.

Now the hot news is that ace cinematographer turned actor Natty Natraj has joined the cast in this schedule. He is said to be playing a villain in the period portions and has intense action sequence with Suriya in the film. Natty who has acted in lead roles in notable films recently played the antagonist against Sivakarthikeyan in 'Namma Veetu Pillai' and Dhanush in 'Karnan'. Apart from facing off Suriya in 'Kanguva' he will also be seen in a prominent character in Vijay Sethupathi's 50th film 'Maharaja'.

'Kanguva' is jointly produced by Studio Green and UV Creations with Devi Sri Prasad scoring the music. Suriya and Disha Patani are the lead pair with Kovai Sarala, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Anandaraj, Ravi Raghavendra, K. S. Ravikumar and
B. S. Avinash. The mega fantasy adventure film will release worldwide in ten languages in 2024.
