The Global Community Oscar has been awarded for the past few years in recognition of those who have made significant contributions to the strengthening of human communities. Danny K. Davis, a member of the US House of Representatives, has announced the nominees for the 2021 Global Community Oscar.
Surya and Jyotika have been nominated for the prestigous award for bankrolling T.J. Gnanavel's 'Jai Bhim' which spoke strongly on the plight of marginalised tribal communities. The film starring Lijomol and Manikandan is continuing to get international recogntion and this is one more feather in its already crowded hat.
Similarly actor producer turned politician Udayanithi Stalin, the son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has been nominated for the International Emerging Star in 2021. The awards will be presented on Feb. 19 in Illinois in the USA.
