Suriya has officially joined forces with acclaimed director Karthik Subbaraj for his 44th film, tentatively titled 'Suriya 44'. This collaboration is co-produced by Subbaraj's Stone Bench Films and Suriya's 2D Entertainment.

The excitement surrounding the project was heightened on Thursday, March 28, as the makers unveiled the first-look poster of 'Suriya 44'. The poster, featuring a car crash and an arrow piercing through a tree, is adorned with the tagline 'Love Laughter War'. Sharing the poster on social media, Suriya expressed his anticipation for the project, captioning it with a message seeking well wishes for the new journey.

Karthik Subbaraj also took to social media to share his excitement about the collaboration, describing it as his next film with the "ever-awesome" Suriya. Fans expressed their surprise and enthusiasm for this unexpected pairing, showcasing their best wishes for the venture.

The film, jointly produced by Rajsekhar Pandian & Kaarthekeyen Santhanam under the banners of 2D Entertainment and Stone Bench Films, promises to bring a fresh perspective to Tamil cinema.

Meanwhile, Suriya is gearing up for the release of his pan-India film, 'Kanguva'. Directed by Siruthai Siva, this ambitious fantasy action film boasts a massive budget exceeding Rs 300 crore. 'Kanguva' also marks the South debut of Bollywood actor Bobby Deol, alongside a stellar cast including Disha Patani, Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu, and others.
