The second shooting schedule kicked off in Ooty at the end of July, with the team recently filming a song featuring the lead pair, Suriya and Pooja Hegde.

However, today's reports revealed that Suriya sustained a minor injury while shooting an intense action sequence for "Suriya 44". The production was promptly halted, with doctors advising the actor to take a few days of rest. Confirming the news, Rajasekar Pandian, CEO of 2D Entertainment, reassured fans about Suriya's condition via social media.

Rajasekar Pandian wrote, "Dear #AnbaanaFans, it was a minor injury. Please don't worry, Suriya anna is perfectly fine with all your love and prayers. 🙏🏼 (sic)."
