Last week, actor Suriya made a massive announcement as he revealed that his next big movie Soorarai Pottru directed by Sudha Kongara will be released directly on Amazon prime video on October 30.

This sudden unexpected announcement from Suriya shocked the whole industry and many distributors and producers opposed the move while many others appreciated the bold move. Now director Hari who had directed Singam series, Aaru and Vel starring suriya has requested Suriya to reconsider his decision.

In his note, Hari has mentioned that he's penning the note having known Suriya and directing 6 movies with him and that as fan he would love to see Soorarai Pottru in theatres and not in OTT. Hari said that it is the applause they received in theatres that took them to heights and that movies are gods to be worshipped in temples called cinema theatres. Hari requested Suriya to reconsider his decision and by doing so, his name will be etched in the history of cinema.
