While Suriya and Gautham Menon were supposed to reunite for the third time way back in 2013, the project fell off because Suriya walked out of it at the last minute! "I only do films if I like the story. I quite liked Gautham`s story, but requested him to tweak it a little. But I waited for six months and I am still waiting," Suriya said in a statement back then.

This caused a strain in the relationship between the versatile actor and the celebrated director. Gautham last year observed that he was hurt by Suriya deciding to part ways with him despite knowing his film-making style

However, the duo are now apparently out to bury the hatchet. Suriya has opened up for the first time about the entire episode in a New Year special interview.

Suriya has regretted sending such a statement against Gautham and he confirmed that he is in the process of rectifying the damage caused by his statement.

It's speculated that the hearthrob may well team up with Gautham Menon for his 37th film.
