Director Ram Gopal Varma is one of the sensational and controversial directors of Bollywood and has also been a popular name among Tamil audience as he directed Suriya in Raktha Charitra 2.

The director often tweets something controversial besides making controversial movies, and after announcing a corona song release, the director shocked netizens tweeting that he has tested Coronavirus positive.

RGV tweeted "My doctor just told me that I tested positive with Corona". However with netizens starting to get worried, the director tweeted again saying it was an April fool prank "Sorry to disappoint, but now he tells me it’s a April Fool joke ?? it’s his fault and not mine. Anyway I am just trying to make light of a grim situation but the joke is on me and if I dint offend anyone I sincerely apologise to them". The irresponsible act of the director has been criticised by netizens.
