Suriya, as a philanthropist, has donated millions toward the education of the underprivileged through his Agaram Foundation in the past few years. On Sunday, two books were released on behalf of the NGO. During the event, the 'NGK' and 'Bandobast' actor got emotional and broke down as a girl spoke emotionally about her travails.

The female student, who has studied due to the aid of the Foundation, related the suffering she and her family went through. She said that coming from a backward village where she was discouraged from pursuing higher studies, she saw Suriya's help as a godsend.

Suriya, moved by her speech, was in tears and couldn't control himself for over ten minutes. Suriya embraced the girl and wished her well driving all those present to an emotional state.

Suriya's next release is 'Aakasam Nee Haddhu Raa', directed by Sudha Kongara. Its trailer will land on January 7. The film tells an inspiring story and is slated for a release this Summer.
