Actor Madhavan has turned a director now and his debut directorial venture is Rocketry The Nambi Effect, which is based on the life of former ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan who wrongly accused in a case and was released after years. He was recently given the Padma award.

Rocketry will have Madhavan in different looks for different phases of the scientist's life, and Simran will be seen playing his wife, and actor and TV show host Jagan will also be seen as a scientist. It was announced months back that Suriya and Shahrukh Khan will make cameo appearances in the movie.

Now it has been revealed that Suriya will be seen in a character which is engaged in a interview with Nambi Narayanan talking about his life. Rocketry will be released in Tamil, Hindi and English and has music by Sam CS. The movie is produced by Tricolor films and Vijay Moolan Talkies.
