Suriya's 'Jai Bhim' which started streaming on Amazon Prime Video from November 2nd has emerged the clear winner in the Diwali race both in high viewership and also the highest critical praises in recent times.
The star actor is busy with the last leg of shooting for his next family entertainer 'Etharkkum Thunindhavan' direced by Pandiraj and produced by Sun Pictures. We already brought to you the hot updates that Suriya will be shooting simultaneously for movies directed by Bala and Siruthai Siva.
Pre-production for the Bala movie is in full swing and sources say that he is keen on casting veteran Bollywood actress Hema Malini in a pivotal role. Hema Malini who ruled Hindi cinema during the 60s and 70s actually made her debut in the Tamil movie 'Idhu Sathyam' in 1963 and was cast in a few more films but she had some unknown bad experience in Kollywood that led her to move to Mumbai.
Three years later Hema Malini's Hindi debut in 'Sapno Ka Saudagar (1968)' was as the lead heroine opposite Superstar Raj Kapoor and there was no looking back after that. She went on to star in more than hundred films and was dubbed the Dream Girl a prefix that is still associated with her.
The BJP MP all through her career got several offers to star in Tamil which she declined and in five decades did only Kamal Haasan's 'Hey Ram' after much convincing from him. Bala is known for being a tough task master and it remains to be seen if Hema Malini will take up the offer and of course we have to await official confirmation of whether the team has indeed approached her.
