Director Hari who took several months to script Singam 3' had planned to shoot the film from the 5th of November and then keeping in mind Diwali which fell on the 10th the team postponed to two days after the festival which was on the 12th.

But the heavy rains that started during the Diwali weekend show no signs of stopping and especially the Thoothukudi and Karaikudi areas where initial filming was planned are worst affected now and this has left the Singam 3' team helpless and the shoot will resume only after the rains stop which could be a few weeks from now. The film has Anushka and Shruti Haasan as Suriya's pairs while most of the original cast will return.
