Suriya and Karthi's immediate action for flood relief

The monsoon rains have caused havoc in the neighbouring Karnataka and Kerala states with heavy flooding reported that have rendered thousands homeless and also cost lives. Suriya and Karthi known for their philanthropic activities immediately donated rupees ten lakhs for relief works.

2D Entertainment head Rajasekhar Pandian presented the cheque for the amount to the relief authorities. Suriya is awaiting the release of 'Kaappaan' directed by K. V. Anand and is also shooting for 'Soorarai Pottru' directed by Sudha Kongara.

Karthi's next release is 'Kaithi' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and is simultaneously shooting for untitled films directed by Packiaraj Kannan and Jeethu Joseph.
