According to the latest, Suriya announced that he has officially wrapped up the shoot for his upcoming film, tentatively titled Suriya 44, directed by Karthik Subbaraj. Suriya shared the exciting news on Sunday, October 6, along with a heartfelt post and a series of photos featuring the cast and crew, including a monochrome snapshot with Subbaraj. In his post, Suriya expressed his admiration for the director, calling him a brother for life.

The film, which began production in June 2024, has generated significant anticipation. Announced earlier in March, Suriya 44 marks the first collaboration between Suriya and Karthik Subbaraj. The film is co-produced by Subbaraj under his banner, Stone Bench Films, alongside Suriya's 2D Entertainment.

Suriya 44 boasts an ensemble cast featuring Pooja Hegde, Jayaram, Joju George, and Karunakaran in pivotal roles. With music composed by Santhosh Narayanan, the technical crew includes cinematographer Shreyaas Krishna, editor Shafique Mohamed Ali, art director Jackson, action choreographer Kecha Khamphakdee, and costume designer Praveen Raja.
