One of the upcoming films in Tamil that carries very high expectations is undoubtedly 'Surya 42' directed by Siruthai Siva and starring Surya and Disha Patani in the lead roles. The epic fantasy action adventure film is made in 3D and will release in two parts. The long first schedule of shooting was wrapped up last month and another major portion is going to be canned later this month onwards.

Meanwhile reports have emerged that the 'Suriya 42' team has decided to give it the powerful title 'Veer' that will have pan Indian appeal since the films are made in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada. It is well known that director Siruthai Siva has the sentiment of naming his films with V as the starting letter namely 'Veeram', 'Vedhalam' and 'Vivegam' and 'Viswasam' all starring Ajith in the lead. The films worked very well at the box office compared to Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Annaathe' which was titled with starting letter "A".

More on 'Suriya 42' we have already reported that the major highlight of the film is that it will contain period portions as well as contemporary times and that Suriya will be donning 13 different roles. The film is said to be a major milestone for Suriya and one of the grandest productions of Tamil cinema ever jointly bankrolled by Studio Green Gnanavel Raja and UV Creations with music by Devi Sri Prasad. Apart from Suriya and Disha Patani, the starcast includes Kovai Sarala, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley and others.
