It is known that Suriya's upcoming project with Siruthai Siva, tentatively called 'Suriya 42', went on the floors with a pooja ceremony on August 21. It was reported that Suriya has put a hold on the shooting of director Bala's 'Vanangan' and will finish the first schedule of 'Suriya 42' before resuming it.

We already updated you that Disha Patani is playing the female lead in Suriya 42 and music composer Devi Sri Prasad has teamed up with Suriya after a long time. Today, the makers launched the official pooja video of the movie and officially revealed the supporting cast. Suriya 42 will also star Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala and Anand Raj.

Director Siruthai Siva's wife switched on the camera and renowned filmmaker Pa Ranjith kickstarted the film by clapping the clapboard for the first shot. The first schedule is going on in Chennai. Then, the team will move to Goa in mid-September & the filming will happen for 25 days. Suriya 42 will be made in two parts and will have a 10-language release.
