Suriya in recent times has been receiving awards galore at the National and FilmFare Awards for his critically acclaimed gems 'Soorarai Pottru' and 'Jai Bhim'. He has now turned focus on his ambitious two part fantasy adventure 3D project 'Suriya 42' directed by Siruthai Siva.

The 'Suriya 42' team recently wrapped up a major schedule in Goa and will resume work in the next couple of weeks. It is said that live portions in the current period have been shot and the next will be the period portions on grand sets.

Meanwhile K.S. Ravikumar is said to be playing an important character in 'Suriya 42' and he was also a part of the just concluded schedule. The veteran commercial director helmed the super hit Suriya starrer 'Aadhavan'. He has played cameos in the 2009 film as well as in Suriya's 'Maayavi' directed by Singampuli while Suriya played a brief cameo in KSR's 'Manmadhan Ambu'

'Suriya 42' is jointly produced by UV Creations and Studio Green with Devi Sri Prasad scoring the music. The film stars Suriya and Disha Patani in the lead roles with Kovai Sarala, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley and Anandraj play other important characters.

It is said that Siruthai Siva is planning to shoot 'Suriya 42' for another 150 to 200 days over the course of the next few months and will have footage ready for both the parts.
