Suriya's next movie 'NGK' directed by Selvaraghavan and costarring Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet Singh is hitting the screens on May 31st amidst much fanfare. The intense star actor's next release is the multistarrer 'Kaapaan' on August 31st and his 'Soorarai Pottru' directed by Sudha Kongara also will hit the screens early 2020.

Suriya begins shooting for his 39th film directed by Siruthai Siva from August this year which will be a Summer 2020 release. The hot buzz is that 'Suriya 40' will be produced by Sun Pictures and earlier Hari was attached to direct but due to unavoidable circumstances has opted out. It is said that there is tough competition among frontline directors and newbies to helm the project and many have narrated their scripts. It is said that whichever story attracts Suriya and Sun will be given the go ahead and some sources say that Lokesh Kanagaraj of 'Kaithi' and 'Thalapathy 64' fame could also seal the deal here.
