Surya is a sought after hero in the Tamil film industry, he is known for his dedication and hard work. After the massive success of 'Soorarai Pootru', he is busy shooting for his upcoming projects with directors Pandiraj and Vetrimaaran.

The first look poster of his film tentatively named Suriya 40 with director Pandiraj is expected to be released on his birthday which falls on the 23rd of July. The film is bankrolled by Kalanithi Maaran under the banner Sun Pictures. The film is touted to be an action thriller with a strong message.

The team shot few scenes in Chennai and Karaikudi recently. The film features Priyanka Arul Mohan, Sathyaraj, Saranya Ponvannan, and Ilavarasu in pivotal roles.

The first look poster of Suriya's 'Vaadivaasal' directed by Vetrimaaran was released yesterday and was well received by the audience. The poster had a Jallikattu bull embossed coin with broken edges depicting the theme of the film. Other casts of this film are expected to be announced soon.
