It is common knowledge that Suriya's 2D Entertainment production house has struck a four-film deal with the streaming giant Amazon Prime Video. The first film of the deal 'Raame Aandalum Raavane Aandalum' had its world premiere last week.
Suriya starrer 'Jai Bhim' is one of the films in the deal. Now, the makers have revealed that 'Jai Bhim' will release on November 2 coinciding with the 2021 Diwali weekend. It is directed by Tha Se Gnanavel of Kootathil Oruvan fame. The release date poster features Surya as an advocate and a pregnant woman with a child.
Suriya is stepping into the shoes of a public prosecutor in 'Jai Bhim'. This courtroom drama is an adaptation of a case led by Chandru to bring justice for an Irular tribe woman. The star's character is based on a real-life senior advocate named Chandru. The movie is based on a 1993 legal battle.
Jai Bhim also stars Prakash Raj, Manikandan of Sillu Karupatti fame, Lijomol Jose of Sivappu Manjal Pachai fame, and Rajisha Vijayan who debuted in Tamil with Mari Selvaraj's Karnan. While Sean Roldan takes care of music, S.R. Kathir wields the lens and Philomin Raj takes over the editing department.
