Karthi after the recent success of 'Viruman' in spite of mixed reviews is awaiting the release of Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan' on September 30th and 'Sardar' in which he plays dual roles on Diwali 2022. Both the films are expected to catupult his stardom even further due to his stunning performances that Kollywood insiders have already glimpsed.
Meanwhile his elder brother Suriya completed an eventful 25 years in Tamil cinema as his debut movie 'Nerukku Ner' costarring Vijay was released on September 6th 1997. Karthi posted a tribute sharing a childhood photo of them both "He worked day & night to make his every minus into his greatest plus. He focused only at outperforming his own achievements. As a person, he made his already generous heart even larger and shaped the lives of thousands of deserving kids. That’s my brother! #25YearsOfCultSuriyaism".
Addressing Karthi as Vandiyadevan his character in 'Ponniyin Selvan', Suriya replied in jest in Tamil "The troubles I face being born your elder brother". This rare interaction between the siblings was welcomed by both their fans.
Suriya is currently shooting for 'Suriya 42' directed by Siruthai Siva and produced by UV Creations and Studio Green. He will next complete 'Vanangaan' directed by Bala before moving to the much awaited 'Vaadivaasal' helmed by Vetimaaran.
