Ageing is inevitable, but some people are intent on going the extra mile to stop or slow it in its tracks. German horror actress Manoush, a plastic surgery addict, did just that: she injected herself with 3.5 million year old bacteria to stay young.

This particular kind of bacteria shows no signs of ageing in its cells; but its effect on humans has not been studied or documented, probably because Manoush is the first person to ever try this experiment. The self-proclaimed ‘human lab rat’, who has undergone several surgeries in aid to age gracefully, revealed that she has been injecting herself with this bacteria for three months now and is already feeling young. In a show, the actress was pushed to reveal her age: 48. But skeptics were not convinced. Several viewers took to Twitter to express their disbelief, some saying she looks way older and that she has probably been conned.
