Suresh Raina’s emotional note on Ravindra Jadeja replacing MS Dhoni as the CSK Captain!

Earlier today, we broke the disheartening news that our Thala Dhoni has decided to pass over the CSK captaincy to Ravindra Jadeja ahead of the IPL 2022. Although the franchise made it clear in their statement that MS Dhoni will continue purely as a player in the team in the upcoming season and beyond.

Now, the latest is that ‘Chinna Thala’ Raina has penned an emotional message to Ravindra Jadeja on succeeding Mahi Bhai as the captain in CSK. Suresh Raina posted on his social media handle, “Absolutely thrilled for my brother. I can’t think of anyone better to take over the reins of a franchise we both had grown up in. All the best @ravindra.jadeja ! It’s an exciting phase and I’m sure you will live up to all the expectations and love #yellow #csk” (sic).

In the past, Suresh Raina has always been considered as the possible successor of MS Dhoni’s place in CSK. Hailed as ‘Mr IPL’ by the fans, Raina had given his everything to the side and he is one of the sole reasons for the franchise to be this successful. He was not picked by any team in the mega auction of IPL 2022 due to his poor form but will embark on a new journey as a Hindi commentator in the IPL commentary panel.

MS Dhoni will be in the side of Ravindra Jadeja to groom him as a captain before the ‘Captain Cool’ ends his stint in IPL too. The 15th edition of IPL is set to kickstart on March 26th in Mumbai. The past season’s finalists, Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders, will lock horns with each other on the opening night of the season. The new season will have 10 teams in total with 2 new teams.
