Former cricketer Suresh Raina is in the news for an unenviable reason. On Monday night, the popular celeb reportedly got arrested and booked for attending a party at an upscale club in Mumbai. The raid took place because COVID-19 protocols were violated by the organizers.

Raina, however, was released soon on a bail. The incident took place at the Dragonfly club. As many as 34 revellers were arrested.

The party attendees were booked for disobedience to order duly promulgated by a public servant and other relevant offences of the Indian Penal Code.

The incident shows that the Mumbai police have started taking coronavirus norms seriously all over again ahead of the new year week when cases are expected to go up because lakhs will throw caution to winds and party their way to delight.
