Upcoming Malayalam movie 'Paappan', directed by Joshiy has generated a lot of expectations, since the veteran director is teaming up with action King Suresh Gopi after a very long gap. Scripted by RJ Shaan who had earlier co-written ‘C/O Saira Banu’, the upcoming movie is touted to be a family-based entertainer with mystery and suspense elements in it. Suresh Gopi will be essaying a major lead role in ‘Paappan’ as the character named ‘Abraham Mathew Mathan’.Along with Suresh Gopi, the film has his son Gokul Suresh Gopi, Sunny Wayne, Nyla Usha, and Neeta Pillai essaying other major roles. Kaniha, Vijayaraghavan, Asha Sarath, Chandhunadh, Tini Tom, and Shammy Thilakan are also part of the supporting cast.

It was last month, the makers of the movie unveiled the first look motion poster of the movie on social media. The stunning motion poster was unveiled by actor Dulquer Salmaan through his social media handle. “Presenting to you the first look motion poster of #Paappan. Wishing Sureshettan, Joshiy uncle & team only the very best. Can’t wait for you guys to watch it. #Paappan,” Dulquer Salmaan wrote while launching the first look motion poster. The motion poster had Suresh Gopi flaunting a mass avatar of his title character Paappan.

Ever since the motion poster release, the audience have been impatiently waiting to know the release date. As per the latest buzz, the makers of the movie are eyeing for a theatrical release on March 31. Though the makers are yet to announce the release date officially, reports suggest that it is a confirmed date. The film is being produced by David Kachappilly Productions and Cubes International Group and will be presented by Agosh Cinemas and Chand V Movies.
