Suresh Gopi may be appointed Chairman of NFDC

Actor Suresh Gopi has been in meeting with a few leaders from the central government, including finance minister Arun Jaitely and communication minister Rajawardhan Singh Rathore a few days back. It is reported that the actor might be appointed as the Chairman of the National Film Depvelopment Corporation.

The position have been held by many stalwarts including Om Puri and others in the past. This would be the first time that a Malayali will be holding the post. Ever since the Modi government came to power, there have been rumours that Suresh Gopi is being considered for some high post. The office of NFDC is at Mumbai.
