Actor Suresh Gopi rose to stardom with his terrific performance as Bharathchandran IPS, honest and courageous cop, in the movie Commissioner. The 1994 release directed by Shaji Kailas and written by Renji Panicker was a massive blockbuster. The film established Suresh as one of the superstars of Malayalam Cinema.

Eleven years later a sequel to the movie was made, titled Bharathchandran IPS, which was written and directed by Renji Panicker. The sequel was also a superhit.

Now, the latest that we hear is Renji Panicker will soon be directing the third part of the movie. Reportedly, Liberty Basheer will produce the movie, tentatively titled as Bharathchandran Returns. An official confirmation regarding the project is still awaited!.
