Supre courts verdict on petition to stop Karunanidhis final procession

DMK Supremo and patriarch Kalaignar Karunanidhi passed away yesterday. As millions are mourning his death, a tussle came about revolving around the issue of allocating burial space in Marina. Aftert a HC court hearing, permission was granted for the mortal remains of the DMK leader to be laid to rest in Marina much to an emotional reception by DMK supporters.

But then Traffic Ramaswamy was stating that a memorial cannot be constructed for Karunanidhi in Marina citing monuments cannot be built in coastal areas. However, now the Supreme Court itself had dismissed Traffic Ramaswamy’s petition. So Karunanidhi's final procession and burial will take place as said in Marina.
