The polling for the key office-bearer posts of the South Indian Artists Association have started in the St. Ebbas School in Mylapore Chennai from 7 am this morning. Superstar Rajinikanth was one of the earliest persons to come and cast his vote in the toughly fought elections between the incumbent team of office-bearers lead by President R. Sarathkumar and the group of rebel actors Pandavar Ani` lead by Nasser and Vishal.

After casting his vote, the Superstar addressed the media. He said, “A competition has emerged in this election. But that does not mean that the actors are divided. Media should not see it like that. We are actors belonging to same family irrespective of caste, creed, religion, etc. My best wishes for whoever is going to win in this election. My first request is that whoever wins should take immediate steps to change the name of the Nadigar Sangam as Tamil Nadu Artists Association instead of the South Indian Artists Association. The winners should fulfill their poll promises at any cost. If they cannot fulfill their promises they should be ready to step down and resign the posts. I again reiterate that whatever be the outcome of the poll, all actors should remain united and friendly to each other“.
