Superstar Rajnikanth who was last seen in Karthik Subbaraj's Petta has completed shooting for his next movie Darbar directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Lyca Productions. The actor is expected to begin shooting for his next movie directed by Siva from December.

Recently it was announced that the central government is conferring the Icon of Golden jubilee of IFFI award for Rajnikanth for his contribution to Indian cinema for decades, and he will receiving the award in the International Film festival of India held in Goa this month.

As many celebrities are wishing Rajnikanth for the award, yesterday BJP leader and former central minister Pon Radhakrishnan met the actor in his Poes Garden residence and wished him. It has been said that they also discussed about Tamil Nadu politics. Superstar's Darbar releases on Pongal 2020.
