Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan celebrated his 65th birthday yesterday and as a part of the celebration, he had unveiled a statue of his father Srinivasan in his native Paramakudi yesterday. The event had the presence of his family as well as friends from the industry like actor Prabhu.

Today the actor opened the new office of his production house Raajkamal Films International and also unveiled the statue of his mentor K Balachander, and Superstar Rajnikanth, Director Maniratnam, Pyramid Natarajan, Ku Gnanasambandham were among the guests in the event.

During his speech in the event, Superstar Rajnikanth said that in his free time, he watches three films - The Godfather, Thiruvilaiyadal and Kamal Haasan's Hey Ram, and said that he has watched Hey Ram more than 30-40 times. Hey Ram is getting screened today on eve of 150th birthday of Mahathma Gandhi.
