After the Superhit result of the Karthik Subbaraj directorial Petta, Superstar Rajnikanth is all set to begin shooting for his next movie, directed by AR Murugadoss, who had last delivered the political entertainer Sarkar starring Thalapathy Vijay and Keerthy Suresh in lead roles.

Now here's an interesting update on this movie. Costume designer Niharika Basin had shared on her Instagram handle that the costume trial for Superstar Rajnikanth's next was completed recently, sharing a photo of her having lunch post the trial. Niharika was earlier a part of Petta as well.

This untitled movie, Rajnikanth's 166, is touted to be an action thriller, and there are rumours that the superstar might be seen as a daredevil cop, and Lady Superstar Nayanthara will be paired with him. Produced by Lyca productions, the movie will have music scored by Anirudh and will begin shooting from April 10 as per reports.
