Superstar Rajnikanth will be back on screens after his Pongal 2019 release Petta, with his 2020 Pongal treat Darbar. Directed by AR Murugadoss, Darbar is produced by Lyca Productions and will have Superstar Rajnikanth playing a police officer decades after Pandiyan.

It has been announced now that Darbar will have special premieres in the US on January 8, and Prime Media in association with Kal Raman and G2G1 International will be organizing the premiere. Prime Media is a leading distribution firm from  North America and Kal Raman, Chief Digital Officer of Samsung America is an entrepreneur from Tamil Nadu living in USA.

Darbar also stars Lady Superstar Nayanthara, Nivetha Thomas, Yogi Babu, Suniel Shetty, Prateik Babbar, Yograj Singh, and has music by Anirudh who also composed music for Petta.

This movie has cinematography by Santosh Sivan who works with Superstar after Thalapathy.
