Superstar Rajnikanth had delivered a thumping success this Pongal 2019, with his 165th movie Petta, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, and the revenge drama also starred Vijay Sethupathi, Trisha, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Simran and was a blockbuster outing for the actor.

Following the success of Petta, Superstar had committed to do his 166th movie with director AR Murugadoss who had last delivered the political entertainer Sarkar with Thalapathy Vijay and the movie will be produced by Lyca Productions.

The latest update on this biggie is that the team will begin shooting April 10 onwards and will shoot extensively in Mumbai. Lady Superstar Nayanthara will pair with Superstar Rajnikanth after Chandramukhi, and Anirudh will be scoring the music. Cinematographer Santhosh Sivan joins hands with Superstar after Thalapathi and with Murugadoss after Thuppaki and Spyder.
