Today the AIADMK cadre and the lakhs and lakhs of die hard MGR fans are celebrating the 101st birthday of the most charismatic film star and political leader in the history of Tamil Nadu. On this day a new film of M.G.Ramachandan aka MGR is being launched.
Though the former Chief Minister passed away in 1987, he will be part of the new film 'Kizhakku Africavil Raju', thanks to Animation technology. MGR's images will be used in the film with the help of a US based Animation firm and that will be made to speak like MGR so that the fans will get the feel of as if the legendary star himself has acted in the film.
'Kizhakku Africavil Raju' was the film planned by MGR back in 1970s after the stupendous success of 'Ulagam Suttrum Valiban' the film in which he directed and produced apart from acting in the lead role. However the project was dropped since MGR became busy with his political commitments after starting ADMK party and becoming the Chief Minister of the State in the year 1977.
Now Isari Ganesan the son of Isari Velu who was a close associate of MGR has decided to give life to the unrealized dream of MGR by producing this film which will be launched today on account of MGR's 101st birthday.
There are also speculations that Superstar Rajinikanth who has recently announced his intention to start a political party of his own, will be taking part as a guest in this launch event. We will have to wait for a confirmation.
