Superstar Rajinikanth's 168th film is the mega budgeted 'Annaathe' produced by Sun Pictures and directed by Siruthai Siva. The film that has music by D.Imman has Khusbu, Meena, Nayanthara and Keerthy Suresh as the leading ladies with Soori and Prakash Raj playing other important roles.

Before the coronavirus lockdown almost fifty percent of 'Annaathe' was completed and it is now uncertain when it will resume. Meanwhile, rumors started spreading that the project has been dropped and Rajini has returned his advance citing that he can only get back to work only after a vaccine comes int use for the deadly virus.

Our sources have dismissed this as a mere rumour and have stated that 'Annaathe' is very much on the cards though there may be a delay for the shoot to restart considering health safety of all the cast and crew members.
