Ilayathalapathy Vijay's 'Theri' trailer has crossed five million YouTube views and two lakh likes within a week of its release.

While the trailer of the Atlee directed emotional cop flick is being unanimously praised by fans and critics alike, it has now got a phenomenal fillip from none other than the evergreen Superstar Rajinikanth.

Sources say that the Superstar has watched the trailer and was mightily impressed with it. He has appreciated the entire unit lead by director Atlee.

'Theri' starring Vijay, Samantha and Amy Jackson in lead roles is getting ready to hit the screens on April 14, 2016.

The film's producer Kalaipuli.S.Thanu is the producer of Superstar Rajinikanth's upcoming film 'Kabali'.
