Fans of Tamil cinema, consider both Superstar Rajinikanth and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan as nothing less than Gods of Entertainment. Though the younger generation (those born after the 90s) do refer to them as their favorites the true die hards are from the older generations who revere the two stars.

If you stop by and ask any of those devotees of Rajini and Kamal what is their one wish, their quick answer would be to see the two of them together on screen. More than Rajini it is Kamal, who has answered this question innumerable times that the difficulty in doing such a film is that it would be difficult for a producer to pay them both. Well the times have changed and Tamil cinema has a global market and big money corporations and individuals would love to invest in a film with the larger than life thespians to not only to make money but as a prestige in itself.

Agreed that both Rajini and Kamal are well past their prime and one cannot expect them to do action and we don`t want to tax them with any physical strain. Instead, they both can do a comedy, a romcom maybe with the two of them vying for a much younger girl (we will fall for it is the Gods you see).

One hopes that the Thalaivar and the Alwarpet Aandavar in one of their bonding sessions finally decide to put all excuses and could be barriers, finances included aside and just go on and do a film together and give joy to the millions who are waiting. Come on that film when it happens can never be a failure and sometimes the Gods are obliged to pay back their devotees who have shown selfless love that is undying.
